There is an excellent page on history ,"Zeitgeschehen 1900-2000", which lists the key dates and events in German history. Just click on the date for an easy to read guide to that event. Topics include a the beginning of the first World War and the fall of the Wall. There is also a list of useful addresses for possible sources of information and with tips on how to use the material and the technical drawbacks.
